doesn't it drive you crazy

Doesn't it just bug you when you meet "fake" people. You know the kind. They act one way when they are around you or when they talk to you but really they are not really like that. It really bothers me when people "act" like they are my friend when they talk to me but really they don't care all that much about me. Then there are the majority of the people in my neighborhood who seem to have a double standard when it comes to single moms. Its all ok if the single mom is a widow or divorced....everyone feels so sorry for them and bends over backwards to help them and make them feel part of everything but if you're a single mom that was never married (like me) then forget it. You're lucky if they say hi.

Then theres guys......some of them are just a JOKE!!! Why is it that guys NEVER seem to grow up? You would think that they would eventually reach an age where they would think of more then themselves and that having a relationship would mean more then just getting in a girls pants. Do guys ever think of anything but that?? And what about all those "dead beat" dads out there. Don't they care about the children they created? Why can't they just face up to their responsiblities and help financially support the children.

Then there are the children......why is it that they act like total animals when it comes to lunch time at school. Yes I work in a lunchroom at an elementary school and kids in 4th - 6th grade don't seem to have any manners. The 5th and 6th graders are the worst. They come thru the line and take WAY more food then what they should get (the school is a self serve lunch line)and they don't care if there is any food left for the rest of the school. We can stand out there and tell them over and over again but as soon as we turn our backs to go get something to restock the line the kids in line hurry and take larger servings.

And of course lets not forget all those drivers out there that don't know what they are doing. You got the ones that drive only 10 mph. You got the ones that are in such a hurry that they cut you off and the ones that won't let you change lanes cause heaven forbid that you get in front of them.

Then there are those that don't think you are capable of doing anything on your own. They feel like they have to do everything for you. I could go on with more details on this one but I better stop there......I just wish that some people would learn to let go and let us live our own life. I guess some of that is my fault cause I probably allowed them to do it but now I don't know how to get them to stop trying to "control" everything.

My last one is with myself. Why can't I seem to get rid of feelings that I have for someone? Why do I keep having feelings that things could be if only I would allow them to be?

Oh and of course there are my children.....they drive me crazy all the time. They don't listen to me and they won't do chores. All they want to do is play, watch tv, and play video games. What in the world is wrong with them?? haha

Life with a puppy is never dull.....

CAUTION......contains materials that are a little gross and naughty!!!!! Read at your own risk.

Ok our puppy doesn't look like a puppy anymore. I am hoping that she is full grown. Life with her has been quite interesting. She loves to have anyone paying attention to her and if your not then she goes and gets in trouble. She usually ends up finding some of the toys that the boys didn't put away. Sometimes she will just come and "hide" close by us and start chewing that toy to pieces. Other times she wants us to see what she has and so she will come right up to us and just stand there until we look and see she has something....then she takes off cause she knows we will come after her to get it back. Then she likes to put up a "little" fight about it and growls at us but she knows she NEVER wins at this game and we end up getting the toy back.

While I am at work and the boys are at school we lock her up in Josh's room and she loves to find whatever trouble she can in there. We keep thinking that we have put everything up or hid it well or removed it from the room but she seems to usually find something. She has found CDs and broke and toy guns, a few stuffed animals, and then one day she found a cassette tape. The week she found the cassette tape I just thought she broke the cassette but then she had also tore up one of her stuffed animals and I thought she might have eaten some of the stuffing so I was keeping an eye on whether she was going potty or not in case she got "plugged up". Well one morning as we are rushing to get ready to leave for the bus and for me to get to work...I had put her out to go potty and told the boys to let her in when she was done and I went downstairs to finish getting ready. Well next thing I know Josh comes down saying something and then here comes Kylie running like a BIG MONSTER is chasing her. Josh says something about something hanging from her about the time she runs into me...then she takes off up stairs and I yell for Josh to go catch her as I finish brushing my teeth. He catches her at the top of the stairs and I come running and the poor dog has some LONG thing hanging out her bottom. I grab rubber gloves and paper towels and as I get to her I realize that it was the tape from the cassette tape....it was hanging out about 12 inches. I thought it was about all out and so I grab what is out and pull and alot more comes out. It was the SICKEST thing I have EVER done. Josh and Kaiden just stand there with their eyes about to pop out and Kylie was just SO releived to get that out of her. Now when I signed up to be a mom to kids and to a dog I NEVER EVER imagined that I would have to be doing ANYTHING like that.

Now that isn't all the fun with this cute pup we have. Lately she has been "attacking" things (humping). Well a few weeks back she started going after the boys. Josh will just be walking along and she will come up and grab his leg and just start going at it and poor Kaiden, if he lays on the couch she grabs his legs and starts at it. Kaiden can even be just walking and she will come up behind him and "grab" him with her front paws around his waist and go at him. It is so naughty but it is a little funny. Then a couple of weeks ago at church I saw her Vet and told him I had a question but church was a good place for it and he said that it was ok....so I told him what she was doing and he gets then grin and chuckles about it then goes on to tell me that it is a "phase" she is going thru and that she is trying to domainate the boys and that she should stop in a few weeks or month or so and that part of it could be cause she is getting close to "becoming a WOMAN" (if you know what I mean).

So as you can see......LIFE IS NOT DULL AROUND HERE.

School Started.....and what a week it was!!!!!

I didn't pick out the outfits today....the boys picked them out themselves. Yes I bought them similar clothes cause they like the same things but they are the ones that decide to wear them on the same day.

School started this week and oh my goodness it was a week that I don't want to relive. It all started out first thing Monday morning. First of all no bus came and picked up kids on our bus route. Next, I take Josh to school and find out that the class he should be in the teacher didn't have a clue and he wasn't on her class list so she didn't have a desk for him. See what happened was that he was put in a class but the school made a mistake and put him in a class with this other kid that I have requested that they not be in the same class ever (and the principle agrees that it would/could be bad if they were in the same class). I found out in the summer that they were in the same class so I emailed the principle and told him and requested that he be put in this other class with Josh's best friend and the principle agreed to it and said he made the change. So this teacher of where he should have been agreed to keep him that morning so I left.

Later I take Kaiden to Kindergarten orientation and when we finish up we go to lunch and was going to hang around up town and then pick Josh up from school. Well I get a message that the principle called and needed to talk to me as soon as possible(not something a mother likes hearing). Since I was uptown I decided to just go to the school and see what was going on. Well I get there and they tell me that Josh can't be in this class with his friend cause Josh's resource teacher thinks it is a BAD IDEA and that they will just goof off all the time. Josh's therapist thought it would be good for Josh to have a buddy in class that would help him out with stuff but apparently the resource teachers doesn't agree. Whatever....anyways they ended up moving him to another class. Josh wasn't happy about it but the next day he went he was ok with it and likes the new teacher....so we will see how the year goes.

So Tuesday comes and the bus comes but it is all messed up. And that afternoon coming home several kids missed the bus cause of all the confusion of what bus was going where.

Then Wednesday I had a dentist appointment and it turned out to be a HORRIBLE experience. The appointment was only suppose to take 1 hour and was getting a filling in one tooth that had a small cavity. Well the dentist couldn't get the tooth completely numb. He ended up giving me 5-6 shots(I lost count). My jaw and tongue was SO numb when he finished but the tooth wasn't. I couldn't talk, I couldn't swollow, I couldn't do anything cause it HURT SO BAD. And the next day I was still in major pain.

So Thursday, like I said I was still in misery from the visit to the dentist but still went to work cause our manager was gone. I went into work an hour early to help the other lady. Well when I got to work she should have got the gravy cooked but she didn't. So we got a late start on the cooking for the day. Then about an hour before the kids are to come in for lunch I realize that she didn't get the rolls out. They were in the freezer....so we quickly pull them out and get them in our hotboxes so they can hopefully get unthawed before we serve. Then in the middle of the serve I am in the back cooking and opened the oven and went to take a temp of the meat I as cooking and I didn't wait long enough before sticking my hand up there and ended up getting a nasty steam burn on my wrist.

And of course we couldn't have Friday be a day where nothing happened. I ended up smashing my pinkie and getting a little cut on it at work. Then Josh for some reason thought that I was picking him up from school so he didn't get on the bus. When I went to pick him up he had told grandpa that he would be out back of the school and he wasn't. I circled the school twice and then had to go in and look for him. Then Kylie decided to be a "turkey" and when I was trying to water my garden(if you want to call it that....its mostly weeds right now) she comes running out there and runs through the weeds and mud. Everytime Josh would get her he would try to dry her off a little with a towel and she would break free and come right back out to the garden. So I had to catch her and hose her down. She HATED that and let me know it by biting me repeatedly and flipping water all over me.

My question now.....is Saturday going to be better? And is it going to get better next week?

KYLIE MAE WARD

We got us a new puppy!!!!! We got a cute little girl. She is a Springer Spaniel. We got her when she was only six weeks old and she weight 5.5 pounds. We had her to the vet a couple of weeks ago and she is up to about 10 pounds...she gained almost 5 pounds in 4 weeks. She is now 12 weeks old. She is fun but she can also be a pain. She likes to chase the boys around the house....and they like her chasing them, that is until she catches them and bites them. She has the LOVELY puppy teeth and oh my are they super sharp. She is having a hard time adjusting right now cause school started so no one is home during the day and she gets locked up in a room while we are gone. This drives her crazy and if she doesn't get outside and get exercise then she gets quite "feisty" and just bites us like crazy. She is doing great with the potty training.....but as far as all the other training she is struggling with, so we will be looking into puppy classes very soon. The boys love having a new puppy and do pretty good at helping take of her. I like having her too. She helps fill the void left from my other dog. She is WAY different then our old dog and we love her very much even though she can get a little mean at times....hopefully she out grows that soon.
